Yueyue was a 4-year-old female patient when she was admitted in our hospital on January 14th, 2013, due to the chief complaint of her motor retardation for over 3 years. She was diagnosed as "Cerebral Palsy" (spastic type).

Yueyue was prematurely delivered in 28 weeks of gestation with natural delivery. She had the history of hypoxia after birth as well as low birthweight. The head MRI done at Shanxi Children's Hospital showed the problem of white matter of brain. She received the first course stem cell transplantation in our hospital on January 14th, 2013. Before the discharge, her medical condition is improved significantly. The Condition before Admission:
Her chief complaint was on the motor dysfunction:
-She could stand by herself but only for a dozen minutes;
-She could not really stand well as the normal children;
-She could not squat by herself;                                                                                                         -She could walk dependently for just four or five steps, then she could not move forward but fell down.

The condition after the First Course(Three Months Later):
-The muscle strength of her waist is increased obviously;
-She can stand steadily by herself for longer period;
-She can squat and stand up successfully by herself;
-She can walk by herself slowly all the way.

One pathogenesis of Cerebral Palsy
Low birthweight is an incentive factor for cerebral palsy while most premature infants and a few full-term infants may be born by low birth weights, less than 2.0 kg typically.
