Xiao Jie, male, 4 years old, was born prematurely with normal delivery after a pregnancy for 35 weeks and had the history of asphyxia and convulsions after birth. He was admitted for the chief complaint of speech and motor function retardation for over 3 years and diagnosed as "cerebral palsy". The head MRI when reviewed showed: dysplasia of cerebral white matter and thin corpus callosum. He received stem cell transplantation twice on November 21, 2011 and on July 6, 2012, so that he could walk alone after treatment, then he received the third course on June 7, 2013.
Before the second course (before July 6, 2012):
- He could not stand against the wall stably and could not stand alone;
- He could not step forward independently but could walk with help.
The condition after the third course:
- He can stand independently and stably;
- He can walk alone.
