Videos- TG – Spastic Cerebral Palsy (male, 11 months old, Vietnamese) – 2013

The child, called TG, male, 11 months old, Vietnamese, was admitted on November 11, 2013 due to the chief complaint of mental and motor functions retardation for over 10 months, diagnosed as "cerebral palsy (spastic)". He had the history of hypoxia and aspiration during his birth. The head MRI done at Vietnam Children’s Hospital at the age of 6 months showed: dysplasia of brain white matter and he was diagnosed as "cerebral palsy". He received stem cell transplantation (4 stem cell injections via lumbar puncture) from November 10, 2013 to November 27, 2013. Before discharge, his medical condition was improved significantly. According to the doctors’ experience, almost all the neural dysfunction will be further improved.

Before Admission:
- He suffered from motor dysfunction (his both hands could fetch things initiatively, the fine motor function of his hands was poor, he could not sit alone stably, he could sit for one or two minutes with hands supporting, he could not crawl, stand or walk alone);
- He suffered from senior intelligence disorder (lower intelligence compared to others with same age and poor voice response).

After the first course:
- The muscle strength of his neck is improved obviously;
- The muscle strength of his waist is improved obviously whilst he can sit alone more stably.
