Ms. Zhang is a Chinese 26 years old female patient suffering from spinal cord injury. She received a surgery of spinal epidural hematoma in September, 2008, which caused that she suffered from spinal cord injury (T1-T5) post-operation.
She received 1st round stem cell treatment in our hospital in January, 2010.
Before the stem cell treatment:
- The muscular tension of her limbs was higher than normal;
- The muscle strength of her waist was weak, it was hard for her to sit up with unstably;
- The muscle strength of her lower limbs was weak, she could not sit stably, it was hard for her to move around.
After the stem cell treatment:
- The muscular tension of her limbs is improved obviously;
- The muscle strength of her waist is improved obviously, she can sit up more easily and stably without holding the bed;
- The muscle strength of her lower limbs is improved obviously, she can walk with brace.
