Mr. Yang – Sequela of Spinal Cord Injury (male, 27-year-old) – 2013

Mr. Yang, 27 years old, he suffered from the sequela of spinal cord injury with movement function impaired of lower limbs and incontinence of urination and bowl movement for 7 and a half months. He fell down carelessly from 3 meters high on May 1st, 2013, which caused him burst fracture of L1, spinal stenosis, spinal cord contusion of L1. After the injury, the sensation of his lower limbs was lost, his lower limbs are complete palsy with incontinence of urination and bowl movement. He underwent a internal fixation of titanium plate and nail with posterior way of vertebral plate open for decompression in local hospital.

He received 1st course stem cell transplantation in June, 2013, he recuperated well after the operation.

He received 2nd course stem cell transplantation in December, 2013.

Before 1st course stem cell transplantation:
- The muscle strength of his waist was weak, he was easy to lie down when sitting by himself;
- His lower limbs were complete palsy, he could not stand up and walk.

- The muscle strength of his waist is increased obviously, he can sit stably by himself, the movement range of his upper body is enlarged obviously;
- He can stand up by carrying limb assistant, he can walk by walk aid.
