Videos – Mr. Xu – severe cranocerebral injury (male, 40 years old) – 2010

Mr. Xu, 40 years old, he is diagnosed to severe cranocerebral injury after a car crash on September, 2010. He was coma 3 months after the emergent operation. He was left the motor impair of left side body and speech disorder when he woke up. He received 1st round stem cell transplantation treatment (2 stem cell injections delivered by lumbar puncture and 1 stem cell transplantation via stereotactic brain surgery).

Before 1st treatment:
- The muscle strength of his left upper limbs was poor, he could not move them;
- The muscle strength of his waist was poor, he could not sit up by himself, he could not sit steadily via assistant;
- The muscle strength of his left lower limb was poor, he dragged his left drop foot obviously when walking by assistant.

After 1st round treatment whilst before 2nd round treatment:
- The muscle strength of his left limb is improved obviously, he can move his left arm on the bed;
- The muscle strength of his waist is improved obviously, he can sit up by himself whilst he can sit up more stable;
- The muscle strength of his left limb is improved obviously, the dragging symptom of his left drop feet  is improved obviously whilst he can walk forwards by holding the railing.
