Bruce (Kenyan) – Cerebral Palsy (Male, 6 years old) – 2014

Bruce is a 6 years old boy, who is Kenyan. He is a term infant, with history of cord around neck and ischemia and hypoxia. He was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, without hereditary disease or jaundice. He came to receive stem cell treatment in General Hospital of Chinese People’s Armed Police Forces on Decemeber 1, 2014.

Physical Condition before treatment
He can neither stand nor walk.
He had swallowing dysfunction, can only eat liquid food.
His pronunciation was not particularly clear.
He was unable to sense and control his urination and defecation;
Muscle tension of both hands is high, can’t stretch out, and the fingers can’t be completely fist.
Muscle tension of lower limbs is relatively high.

Physical condition after treatment
He can both stand independently for five minutes, and walk for two minutes without help.
Good appetite. Swallowing function is improved. He was tending to have semi-liquid diet.
Pronunciation function had been greatly improved.
Before urination and defecation, he can tell relatives and relieve himself assisted by his family;
Muscle tension of both hands is declined, while muscle strength is improved.
The movement of upper limbs is faster than before, and he is glad to do some actions.
Muscle tension of lower limbs is decreased.
